Freezing, Firey days of Januaray...

There was a weather forecast for freezing rain the next day, i was all curious to know what it might look like? Hmmm... It was no different than any rains.. But just that the moment the rain hits the ground it will turn out to be ICE..... It literally freezes everything it hits.. The car, trees, roads, everything.....and yes i saw a lot of consequences of it... We thought will go out to get groceries, got down the car, i was almost ice skating.., :P was just trying to balance myself to reach the shop.... it was as i had seen in movies like home alone, how the kid turns the water to ice and the crooks fall.. i had same kind of experience walking on that ICE... Realised that Snow is a lot better thing than ICE... :D

On our way i saw two cars ice skating.. :P In front of our eyes they moved across to the sideways losing control on the car.. I used to think may be those videos were exaggerated... trust me i could have made one of those videos myself... Experience of freezing rain, this winter is really memorable...

Today had freeing rain too.. So morning one of my friend told me he cant drive to office and i had to take a call on working from home... And i started my work.. After half a day i realised i had left my laptop charger in office.. :P That's soooo me... Then called my friend to get my charger... my luck, his car battery was dead.... :P Finally managed to get my charger through another friend of mine... i am soo grateful to him... :D And i had lot of calls... and work was on....

Suddenly there was a horrible sound,alarm ringing.... and red lights started blinking... Don't know why i remembered those fire drills which happened in HP... (I used to be a Emergency Evacuation Member too)... So i ran to the corridor and that corridor had worse noise.... man bing bing bing bing bing.,.....was toooooo much to bear..... Then the people were asked to walk out of rooms as early as possible.. I was scared, tensed and what not... i had sooo many things if i had to carry.. then i didn't have time to think... Could not bear the noise of that alarm and i had to just rush out of the hotel.. Its freezing out there and i don't have my coat... BINGO...... Within this time, i did see an old lady running around with her little puppy in hand.. It was too much for human to bear, i cant imagine those sensitive ears of that puppy... She was just worried about that puppy.... Within 3 minutes a fire engine came in... police came in.... and i was just watching everything as any other person in the hotel standing in COLD COLD COLD COLD weather....

Then finally the alarms went off and they found a guy had smoked inside.. and here you go the alarm rang.... And meanwhile i spoke to the old lady.. She told me this happens every now and then.... And she sees this atleast once a month.. and here you go i was working from home on an excellent day.... :P

She was quite an interesting lady.... Her name is Helen and she is 90 years old... and she owns a puppy... She said she is staying in this hotel for more than 2 years now... She was telling about her puppy, life and all that she said it in few minutes...She was warm and welcoming.. And asked me to join her for tea sometime.. That was nice... :) Would surely go sometime... :)

This was my fire engine experience.... the noise, people, and the response of fire engine.... One of kind experience... was just thinking its so hard back in our place to get a fire engine or a ambulance in time to one place..... :( What needs to be changed??
